So my lack of blogging since the new year has meant there was no mention of my baby girls 3rd Birthday!! I can’t quite believe that she is three years old. Time goes so quickly, she is such a little grown up now, forming her own little opinions and thoughts on the world, some of which are very amusing, but I will save them for another post!!
As my husband was not working at the time, we decided to keep her birthday low-key, a party would have cost more than we could afford to spend, so we had our family round for lunch and a very lovely friend of mine treated us to tickets to a pantomime in a local village near to where we live, so Molly got to go to her first Panto, which she LOVED!! She is still talking about it now bless her and singing the songs from it!!
The one thing I wanted to make sure was amazing was Molly’s cake. She had asked for a Disney Princess Party for her birthday so of course I felt awful that we were not actually doing a party for her. So I decided to have a go at making a Princess Castle Cake and I was determined that she would get one! So I got my Nigella head on and got baking! 4 Victoria sponges later and a whole heap of pink icing we were starting to get somewhere and before I knew it, I was looking at the finished cake…..
Molly loved it, it was the pinkest fairy castle I could have possibly got her which is what she had asked for. Now I know that Alfie is not two until November but I am already thinking of what I can make next………………..
